Plainview:
Dr. Jaipal Rana
Veterinarian

Dr. Jaipal Rana completed his undergraduate degree in Sciences from Government College Rohtak in 1980 and graduated from College of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandary (BVSc&AH), Haryana Agriculture University, Hissar, Haryana, India in 1984. He completed his masters for Veterinary Sciences in Internal Medicine (MVSc) in 1987. His work during MVSc on hemolytic disease in large animals(Indian Buffalo) was awarded a gold medal and Young Scientist Award. After working for a brief period of time as an assistant professor in the Department of Veterinary Medicine, Hissar, Haryana, India; Dr. Rana immigrated to the United States in 1989 and has been practicing Veterinary Medicine on Long Island, New York since 1992. With many decades of practice experience, Dr. Rana has keen interest in internal medicine, surgery, ultrasound and dentistry. He understands the different communities of Hempstead, Elmont, Plainview, and Huntington and has designed them aptly to become community based practices. In his free time, Dr. Rana loves to write, and he is an ardent lover of gardening which is displayed by his beautiful backyard that he takes lot of pride for.
Eileen Bitter
Pet Expert

Eileen joined our animal Care team in November 2011. She has a degree in Education and Theatre from Temple University, PA, with past experience in health care. Her compassion, love for animals, work ethic and caring attitude is a perfect fit in our team like the last piece in a puzzle. Woodbury Road Veterinary Hospital is grateful to have her, and look forward to continued love and care for our pets.

Dr. Shaik graduated in 2000 from Acharya N.G Ranga University, Hyderabad, A.P, India. He has been in clinical practice since 2015. His primary interests are Internal Medicine, Surgery and Radiology. Dr. Shaik's hobbies are painting, writing poems, carpentry. He is passionate about practicing very sophisticated medicine.

Melora Rice
Veterinary Assistant

Melora has joined Animal Care Centers at Animal Hospital of Elmont. She was born and raised in Long Island. She studied child psychology at Marymount College in Manhattan. Her love towards animals made her do Veterinary Assistant Diploma from Boces, Westbury. She is a fast learner and Animal Care Centers welcomes its new member on their team.

Beth Silverman
Practice Manager

Beth Silverman is the senior staff member at the Animal Care Centers and is the Practice Manager at Woodbury Road Veterinary Hospital. Beth Started as a Kennel Assistant and learned every aspect of the veterinary practice. Beth possesses outstanding management skills and has an inherent love and affection for all animals. Beth’s lifetime ambition is to open up a small animal hospice. Woodbury Road Veterinary Hospital is honored to have Beth Silverman as its Practice Manager.
Stefanie Torrens
Veterinary Assistant

Stefanie Torrens joined our team as a veterinary assistant in 2008. She has a bachelors degree from SUNY Plattsburgh and a Masters Degree in Nutrition from Long Island University. Stefanie volunteered her time to different cat adoption centers and has dedicated herself to the well being of all animals. One can feel her love and compassion for pets in Stefanie’s daily work. Woodbury Road Veterinary Hospital is thankful to Stefanie for all her hard work and dedication.
